 Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is online therapy like?
I will meet with you over a secure website. Meeting online provides you the opportunity to pick a setting that is cozy, confidential and works for your schedule. You must be located in Maryland,Virginia or Florida for sessions to place. The rapport and self-reflection of therapy will still happen in the virtual setting. The only difference is you will be supplying your own tissues, blanket and cup of tea. Many people prefer this method of therapy. It can easily fit around a busy schedule. You can meet in any secure place near you such as a local park or in your parked car.

 How Individual Therapy Works

I’ll give you a call at the number you provide to give us both a chance to briefly determine if we’re a fit.

48 hours before the appointment you will be required to fill out the required paperwork prior to your first appointment

We will have a more in-depth conversation about how your are currently doing and what led you to seek out therapy during your initial session. We will also go over office policies and any questions you may have about starting the therapy process with me.

After a handful of sessions we will collaborate on your goals for therapy and the objectives needed to reach them. This will serve as a guide for us both to stay on track towards helping you make progress and help us have something to point to as a tangible object that reflects the progress you’ve made in therapy.
